Hi friends! I’m Karen! I’m the proud owner and hair artist at K & CO! I’ve been a stylist in this amazing industry since 2010 and couldn’t be more excited to have a beautiful, vibey space to call my own.
I’m a well-versed cutting and color stylist, also specializing in extensions, with a passion for constantly continuing my education and learning new trends. My focus is to really build lifelong relationships with my guests and foster a level of “just do whatever you think” trust.
When I’m not in the salon, you can find me traveling with my husband, 3 daughters, and 3 dogs! Brunching, reading, and being outside – all my jam.
Consultations are required for most new client appointment types.
Madison Haugland

Hi! I’m Madison, and I am so excited to meet you!
I have been working in the beauty industry doing hair since 2016! It truly has become my love and passion. Knowing I can make someone leave my chair feeling better about themselves and as confident as possible fills my heart. My ultimate goal is to give each and every one of you your dream hair!
Lived in color is my jam! I also love doing hand-tied & tape-in extensions. I am big on education and have a passion to share that with you! I love to teach you about your hair and your concerns so that together we can achieve your goals while maintaining them at home.
2022 brought me the most amazing son I could have ever asked for! Becoming a mom has shown me a love I have never known. Having my family & having my career are the two best things I could be blessed with.

Kristen Duke

Hey there, I’m Kristen! I’ve been a hairstylist since 2007 and bring nearly two decades of experience and passion to every appointment. Originally from Boston, I made Georgetown my home in 2017 and have loved connecting with this vibrant community.
I specialize in precision short haircuts, lived-in color, and bold, vivid hues—and I love working with all hair types and textures to create looks that feel authentic and effortless.
Outside the salon, you’ll usually find me spending time with my husband and son, binge-watching reality TV, checking out a local brewery on the weekends, or cooking up something delicious in the kitchen.
Riley Ferguson
Hair Assistant
I’m Riley, a newly licensed hair artist currently growing and refining my craft through an assistant program with K&Co’s owner, Karen Montalvo. I’m a passionate stylist who loves both creativity and connection, and I’m excited to continue building my skills behind the chair.
When I’m not in the salon, you can usually find me skiing, spending time at the lake or beach, or getting creative with SFX makeup and experimental looks. I’m a huge dog lover, and I have two Golden Retrievers who keep life fun, active, and full of energy.
My favorite part of being in the salon is getting to know people and helping them feel confident and like their best selves. I’m always inspired by music, and right now I can’t stop listening to “Somewhere Over Laredo” by Lainey Wilson. I also love movies and binge-worthy shows, and Stranger Things is a favorite.
Fun fact, my favorite color is yellow because it just feels like sunshine and good vibes.
